I really enjoy my time blogging and sharing. I want my blogging to be challenging and meaningful to me and those who read it. My desire is to transform it from a means of release to a purposeful endeavor.

My heart really is in my home, even amidst all the distractions. True, it’s easier to talk about all the things I’d like to do “right” or better, than it is to actually do them. It’s the follow through that is the bigger challenge.

But what if I had a way of challenging myself, and others, with a specific endeavor, and an opportunity to share on the fruit at the weeks end?

I want to be faithful in my stewardship. That is my goal in this new path I seek. My goal is for personal diligence and accountability.Yet others are more than welcome to join at any time.

So I have created a meme to capture this aspiration…to make it reality.

I welcome you to join me, but without pressure. If you so desire, please see the short rules below:

  1. Each Monday I will post a challenge to myself. You can choose to accept that challenge or create your own on your blog. After all, we all have different needs.
  2. Create a post on your blog with the challenge and how you hope to accomplish it that week. It can be anything from homemaking, to child rearing, to marriage, or spiritual discipline. Anything that will draw you closer to Christ. Feel free to include the button but don’t feel obligated. :)
  3. Link your post right here, each Monday.
  4. The following Monday (after the challenge has been received, and carried out), write how God helped you to achieve your challenge and the memories, fulfillment, blessing, etc., that went along with it.
  5. On that same post, write the next challenge for the week, or continue on in your current challenge. Sometimes habits take more time to develop, so don’t feel pressured to rush to the next one!

I want to make memories and leave a trace of memoirs. I want to be intentional and proactive, rather than accidental and reactive.

This ambition is based on 2 Peter 1:3-11, which says:

2 Peter 1:3-11 (NASB77)
3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
5 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge;
6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness;
7 and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;
11 for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.
