I think, as this blog is titled Journey to a Gracious Woman it is only fitting to have a marriage challenge! The secret is, though, that I am not putting on the challenges. Christian Stay at Home Mom’s is putting on one challenge (or several challenges, rather!), Family Life is doing “The Love Dare” Challenge - it’s not too late to jump in, either! So go check it out! Lastly, and the one I will be focusing in on the most is the 1 Cor. 7:5 Challenge over at The Diaper Diaries.
Becoming a gracious woman involves serving, and being a help meet to my husband. I must be proactive in this to be successful. Not put it on the back burner and expect it to “just happen”. It just doesn’t happen that way. In order for God to work through me, I must make myself available.
Lord, I make myself available to you right now. God, what you ask of me I want to do. I want to please my husband with all that I am. I want to serve you, by serving him, as you have laid out in the Word. Please help me do this, and do it with a joyful attitude. In Jesus’ name…

You are so right, we need to be willing to go first and take the steps needed to be the wives God has called us to be.
